I spent a lot of time on reading to understand the cognitive biases, Those three which make senses to me the most are the anchoring effect, projection bias and negativity bias. First of all, the pne that I chose to talk about is the anchoring effect that its mix to my life experiences. I also interested about the other two but usually its hard to me to think about it.
The one that I chose is about the tendency we have to conpare and contrast only a limited set of items. The example is about an item at thr store that's on sale, we tend to see the difference in price but not the overall price itself. Its like we always pick the middle option ( not too expensive and not too cheap). This is why I chose to talk about this, this example amde me want to read more about it and also deal with my daily life.
The only one example that I think of is when we go to the restaurant or cafe. Imagine that I got into the restaurant with the money for 20.000 kip in my pocket. I want to eat a noodle (pho) which has three prices, 15,000 , 20,000 and 25,000... Its bery simple for me to chose the 15000 kip one as I have to buy a cola to drink also after finish eating pho because I like to drink a cola with pho:)Rather than that If I chose the 20000 or 25000 one I wouldn't have enough money to buy other things that I want to eat. I dont know is this the right example or not.. But I understood it this way after I finish reading.
In conclusion, a cognitive biases is a very complicate thing to understand. Its all about our thinking but I think if we spend alot of time to study and learn a new things from it. That must be a wonderful revenue for your daily life.
